Privacy Policy
Short version: every test on this site runs inside your browser. Your scores are calculated on your device, saved on your device, and never sent to us. There is no account and there is nothing to sign up for.
Who is responsible
This site is operated by Saugata Singh, 1/37 Azadgarh, Regent Park, Kolkata 700040, West Bengal, India. For anything in this policy, contact hello@reactiontimetool.com.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal detail, because nothing on this site needs one. We do not have accounts, we do not run a leaderboard, and we do not receive your test results. There is no server that stores them: the timing, the scoring and the personal bests all happen in JavaScript on your own machine.
What is stored on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember a few things between visits. Local storage stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot read it.

Clearing your browsing data for this site removes all of it, including your personal bests. Nothing is recoverable afterwards, by you or by us, because no copy exists anywhere else.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which tests they use. It records things like the page you viewed, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and general details about your browser and device. It does not receive your test scores.
Analytics storage is switched off by default for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and stays off unless you accept it on the consent bar. You can change that choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default and the same link lets you turn it off.
Advertising
The site does not currently serve advertising and no advertising cookies are set. We intend to add advertising in future, since that is how a free tool with no signup pays for itself. This policy will be updated before any ad code is enabled.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over personal data held about you. In practice we hold almost nothing: without accounts or submitted results, there is usually no record connected to you for us to retrieve or delete.
Where analytics data is processed, the legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served as static files by our hosting provider. Like any web host, it processes the technical information needed to deliver a page, including IP addresses, and may keep short lived logs for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you.
Children
These tests are suitable for all ages and are frequently used in classrooms. The site is not directed at children in a way that collects anything from them, because it collects nothing from anybody. We do not knowingly process personal data belonging to children.

Where we link somewhere else, that site has its own policy and we are not responsible for it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes, in particular switching on analytics or advertising, will be reflected here before the change goes live rather than afterwards.
