Reaction Time Tool

Terms and Conditions

Last updated 2026-09-08

Short version: the tests are free, they are for interest and self comparison, and they are not a medical assessment. Use them sensibly and do not try to break the site for other people.

Agreement

By using Reaction Time Tool you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. The site is operated by Saugata Singh, 1/37 Azadgarh, Regent Park, Kolkata 700040, West Bengal, India.

What the site is

A set of free browser based tests of reaction speed, attention and memory. There is no account, no subscription and nothing to buy. Everything runs on your own device.

The results are not a medical or diagnostic assessment

This matters more than anything else on this page, so it is not buried in a list. The scores produced here are an entertainment and self comparison tool. They are not a clinical instrument, they are not validated against one, and they must not be used to assess concussion, cognitive decline, fitness to drive, fitness to work, or any other question with a real consequence attached.

A browser measurement includes your screen, your input device and your operating system as well as you, and it varies substantially with tiredness, caffeine and attention. If you are concerned about your reaction time, memory or concentration, speak to a qualified healthcare professional. Do not use a score from this site to decide anything about your health, and do not delay seeking advice because a score here looked reassuring.

Accuracy

We describe the methods openly and we try to be accurate, including about the limits. Any percentile or comparison shown is drawn from published population figures, not from a database of this site's visitors, and pages that show one say so. Reference ranges quoted in the guide pages are general context rather than a standard you should be measured against.

Acceptable use

Use the site for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt it or the experience of other people, do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or the infrastructure behind it, and do not use automated tools to hammer it. You may link to any page here freely.

Your data and your scores

Your scores are stored in your own browser and nowhere else. We cannot see them, we cannot restore them, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently. Treat anything you care about as something to write down yourself. See the privacy policy for the full detail.

Availability

The site is provided free of charge and we make no promise that it will be available at any particular time, or that it will keep working in every browser. Tests may be changed or removed. Scoring may be adjusted, in which case an old personal best may not be comparable with a new one.

Intellectual property

The design, text and code of this site belong to Saugata Singh, except where stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote or link to the content with attribution. You may not republish substantial parts of it as your own.

Several tests here are implementations of long established public tasks from experimental psychology and from sport, such as digit span, serial order recall and the Formula 1 start procedure. Those tasks are not ours and we make no claim over them. Any third party names appearing on this site are used descriptively to say what a test relates to, and imply no affiliation with or endorsement by their owners.

Advertising and third parties

The site may display advertising in order to remain free. Advertisements are supplied by third parties and their content is not ours. Where we link to another site, we are not responsible for what is on it.

Liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind so far as the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on any score it produces. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your mandatory local rights are unaffected by anything here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where they live.

Changes

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top will change when they are. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
